Laboratory Test: Chemical Composition Analysis for SDS Preparation

Chemical Composition

LCS Laboratory Inc. specializes in chemical composition analysis for Safety Data Sheet (SDS) preparation, ensuring that your products meet safety and regulatory standards. If your product’s key ingredient concentrations are unknown, we can recover this missing part of the information.

SDS regulations require disclosure of hazardous chemicals present at concentrations above 1%. Potential carcinogens must be disclosed at 0.1% by weight. LCS Laboratory ensures thorough, accurate analysis to support regulatory compliance and workplace safety.  Our ISO 17025-accredited laboratory can measure concentrations of individual components in your product for SDS preparation. Our array of techniques includes:

  • Gas Chromatography with Mass Spectrometry for identification of volatile and semi-volatile compounds
  • Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-AES), for detection of metals
  • Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) for nonvolatile organic like oils and polymers ans crystalline silica

For each client’s product, we select a method best suited to the task, guaranteeing reliable and consistent results.
