LCS Laboratory is offering a new method for assessment of concentration of loose dust on surface. This method works equally well on smooth or rough surfaces including carpets. The sample is collected using a micro vacuuming technique from 100 cm2 of the surface. The test can be used to monitor:
- Efficiency of floor cleaning
- Efficiency of household procedures
- Rate of dust settling
- Rate of dust generation by equipment
- Efficiency of the new cleaning equipment
Weight of the dust is measured and and reported in μg/100 cm2. The dust sample can be further analysed for a number of constituents like dust mites, insects, heavy metals, lead, rust, sand, silica, and similar parameters.
