How the Test Works
This test is designed to be simple, cost-effective, and deployable without specialized training—ideal for consultants managing projects remotely.
We use TraceAir-II diffusive samplers, following established protocols such as NIOSH 4000, OSHA 1014, OSHA 1007, and Assay Technology procedures. These samplers are compact, passive devices that require no pumps, calibration, or on-site expertise. Here’s how it works:
- Order one or more samplers from LCS Laboratory—they are shipped directly to your client’s location.
- Delegate the deployment to a local safety coordinator or site contact. The sampler is placed in the area of concern and left for 8–12 hours to passively collect airborne VOCs.
- Return the sampler using the included prepaid envelope.
- Analyze—once received, we analyze the sample in our lab using GC-MS to identify and quantify the detected solvents.
- Receive Results—we send you a report listing all identified VOCs along with their concentrations.
Because the sampling process is so straightforward, you can screen for VOCs across multiple client sites without travelling—saving time and reducing costs for both you and your clients.
Your final report includes:
- A list of detected VOCs and solvents
- Their measured concentrations in mg/m³
