LCS Laboratory Inc., offers sampling media, rental equipment and analysis for Silicone oil mist in air. Samples are collected on 37mm MCE cassettes in accordance with the NIOSH 5026 procedure, modified for analysis of Silicones and Siloxanes.
In this test we use a proprietary FTIR technique, which allows high selectivity for Silicone Oil. Mineral Oil does not interfere with analysis and if necessary, can be analysed off the same sample.
Samples are collected using personal high flow pumps calibrated at 2-5 Litres per minute. The maximum air volume recommended by the method is 500L. 
Typical reporting limit is 20µg/sample. If 500L of air is collected, it is equivalent to 0.04mg/m³ of silicone oil mist in air .
