Organic materials with a boiling point between 250ºC and 350ºC can be often classified as Semivolatile Organic Compounds (SVOC). The term “semi-volatile” refers to the fact that being pulverized in the air, the chemical partially evaporates, but some components remains liquid in form of mist. A typical example of a semi- volatile material is cigarette smoke. The visible part of the smoke is a mist of tobacco tar, other chemicals produce invisible vapor.
The most common SVOC tested by LCS Laboratory are
- Ethylene Glycol,
- Propylene Glycol,
- Nicotine
- Isocyanates
- Tert-Butyl Catechol
- Polycyclic Aromatic Compounds (PAC)
- Polynuclear Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH’s)
- Other
LCS Laboratory offers a variety of tests for semi- volatile compounds most of which are listed in our price list. Please email us to discuss your test.
