Indoor air quality is a critical component of the LEED certification process (2017). To meet LEED requirements, LCS Laboratory has developed comprehensive sampling procedures that enable consultants and building managers to assess air quality effectively. Our customizable sampling kits include all necessary equipment, media, and laboratory analysis in one convenient package. Below is an overview of the tests we offer:
PM10 Testing
LEED Compliance Concentration: 50 μg/m³
- Sampling Method: 37 mm PVC sampling cassettes with a GK2.69 cyclone at 1.6 L/min.
- Recommended Sampling Time: 24-48 hours.
- Expected Sensitivity: 25 μg/m³ at 24 hours.
Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC)
LEED Compliance Concentration: 500 μg/m³
Sampling Options:
- Option 1:
- Reported as a sum of all volatile compounds.
- Sampling Method: TraceAir II #525 diffusive sampler.
- Recommended Sampling Time: 24-48 hours.
- Expected Sensitivity: 40 μg/m³ at 24 hours.
- Option 2:
- Reported as a sum of all volatile compounds.
- Sampling Method: Charcoal tubes, total volume 30 L.
- Recommended Sampling Time: 2-8 hours.
- Expected Sensitivity: 170 μg/m³.
- Option 3:
- Identification and individual reporting of 20 major compounds using Mass Spectroscopy.
- Sampling Method: Charcoal tubes, total volume 15 L.
- Recommended Sampling Time: 2-8 hours.
- Expected Sensitivity: 10 μg/m³.
4-Phenylcyclohexene (4-PCH)
LEED Compliance Concentration: 6.5 μg/m³
- Sampling Method: TraceAir II #525 diffusive sampler.
- Recommended Sampling Time: 24-48 hours.
- Expected Sensitivity: 5 μg/m³ at 24 hours.
Formaldehyde Testing
