IMG_9003These days consumer goods and construction materials sold in Canada should contain no asbestos. If you are planning to import materials into Canada, you should be ready to demonstrate that they contain no asbestos or at least less than 0.1% by weight.

The same regulation applies to recycled materials: they all need to be tested for ultra-low asbestos level before they can be brought to market.

Our testing methods are in strict compliance with Canadian federal and provincial regulations. Our AIHA and ISO17025 accredited laboratory analyses asbestos by Polarizing Light Microscopy. The laboratory follows method EPA 600/R-93/116 with gravimetric reduction and 1000 point count technique to achieve sensitivity of 0.1% or less.

Make sure that your product is safe and complies with Canadian law. Please call our lab to discuss your project.
