DIY Home Air-Quality Sampling Kits with Prepaid Laboratory Analysis

LCS Laboratory Inc. (Canada) offers air sampling kits designed to monitor air quality in your house for almost any possible contaminate, from gases and vapours, to dust, asbestos, and lead. We built those kits to be safe for use and be user friendly, but they still require minimal attention from you, like turn the swith on, and record the stop – end time. Each kit includes professional grade air sampling pump to capture vapours or dust from your home’s air, and a sampling instruction. Once you collected the air samples, they need to be returned to our laboratory in London, Ontario, Canada, for professional laboratory testing. Please note that the kits are designed to trace the contaminants in residential air, and are not suitable for industrial air sampling.

All tests are designed to test for a single chemical or a group of chemicals in a single room. When you place your order, or asking for a quote, please specify the number of rooms you’d like to test. The list below is a catalogue of the tests that we offer to home owners for self assessment of Residential Air Quality.

Asbestos Clearance Test

A must-have during home renovations or after asbestos remediation, this test ensures your home is safe and asbestos-free.

Isocyanates

Ideal for homes where polyurethane-based products are frequently used, including stains, varnishes, construction foams, and professional polyurethane paints.

Formaldehyde

If you experience dry eyes or throat irritation—particularly after purchasing new furniture or installing laminate floors—formaldehyde testing can help identify the cause.

Metal Dust

Heavy metals are highly regulated and can become airborne during renovations, hobby projects, or automotive work, posing significant health risks.

Mould Spores

Mould, often indicative of water damage, can trigger allergic reactions and respiratory issues. Testing can help identify areas of concern.

Solvents and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)

VOCs are emitted during everyday activities like using perfumes, painting, or refuelling a vehicle. Identifying and addressing elevated VOC levels can improve your indoor environment.
