coal pitchLCS Laboratory Inc., offers laboratory tests for the evaporation rate during material drying. The concentration of individual solvents in their liquid phase and in the air is monitored as well. The test results can be used to estimate: the air emission from industrial processes, in technology scale-up, process development, and estimation of workers’ exposure to airborne contaminants.

The laboratory test is performed on painted cards that are continuously analyzed for residual solvents. The client can select air velocity, relative humidity and drying temperature.

4-methylcyclohexane-1,3-diamineWe test the painted cards and capture gas products including condensate, vapors, and gases, from there we analyze them for organic content. The major constituents are identified, quantified, and reported in mg/kg of dry sample weight. This basic test, covers 80% of emission products generated during routine drying. Some hard-to-detect compounds like acids, formaldehyde, oils, carbon monoxide, isocyanates, metals, and others can be detected separately per your request.

We can specifically target any of several hundred chemicals listed in our catalogue, which gives you virtually unlimited testing flexibility.

Please email us to discuss your project.
