LCS Laboratory offers sampling pumps, thoracic sampling cyclones, and laboratory analysis for sulfuric acid in industrial air.

Sulfuric acid is a non volatile acid and should be collected as particulates or mist. In addition, many countries including Canada, require that only a thoracic fraction of the acid’s mist should be sampled. Until recently, that requirement was not supported by sampling technologies.

LCS Laboratory Inc., offers a unique sampling technique where a thoracic fraction of sulfuric acid mist is collected on a 37mm MCE filter with a size-selective thoracic cyclone BGI GK 2.69 at 1.6 L/min. Samples are analyzed by the OSHA ID113 method using Ion Chromatography. Depending on production activity, the samples can be collected for 1-8 hours.
