Burning rate polymer dustLCS Laboratory offers a complete set of laboratory tests for the TDG/GHS classification of Flammable Solids. The Burning Rate test is performed by LCS lab in accordance with the UN testing requirements. The testing method can be used on powdered and granular samples, including metal powders and other flammable materials such as wood dust, polymers and starch.

In this test we measure the rate of flame propagation through the long pile of your product, and the ability of the flame to cross a water barrier. The classification criteria are published in UN/SCETDG/53/INF.5 under Test N1. Depending on the rate, the material is classified as either Class 4.1  Readily Combustible Solids (Packing Group II or III), or as excluded from Class 4.1 .
