LCS Laboratory offers the analysis of Poly Vinyl Acetate for traces of Vinyl Acetate monomers. In this test, the Vinyl Acetate is extracted from PVAc into an appropriate solvent and analysed using Gas Chromatography with a Flame Ionization Detector.
The method allows us to detect as little as 3 mg/kg Vinyl Acetate in polymer. The concentration of vinyl acetate in all samples that we analysed so far, was less than 3 ppm, which is well within the industry acceptable level of 5 ppm.
