polycondenced aromaticLCS Laboratory Inc., offers a high sensitivity measurement of vapor pressure of pure compounds. We test within the pressure range from 0.0001 to 1 mm Hg at room temperature. The test is based on the OECD method 104, saturated vapor technique.

During the test, gas (usually air) is saturated with the vapor of your product to the equilibrium point. Vapor is then condensed in cold trap or on an adsorbent, and analysed using a HPLC or GC FID technique to give an exact concentration of the vapor in saturated gas. Concentration in gas is recalculated and reported as Vapor Pressure.

Some points to consider:

  • The test can be performed on pure chemicals only with a known molecular formula and molecular weight
  • Your product should be stable when in contact with air
  • Your product should be detectable by either GC or HPLC techniques
  • We can measure vapor pressure at 25oC only
  • Test will be performed in triplicate. Average of 3 measurements will be reported.
